Content:
Based on the equation 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) unpopped kernels yields 1 quart of popped popcorn, ask students to identify the yield of different quantities of unpopped kernels (i.e. 5 tablespoons, 3 ounces). Students also can identify the quantity of unpopped kernels required to make x quarts of popped popcorn.
