Popping Into Action! Christian Bale Creates “Together California”

Christian Bale, the iconic Dark Knight, isn’t just fighting villains on the big screen; he’s now fighting for a brighter future for foster siblings. The Oscar-winning recently met with local officials in Palmdale, California to kick off a project he envisioned 16 years ago—a
community to keep foster siblings together. Bale, stunned by the high number of foster children in Los Angeles County and their heartbreaking separations, teamed up with UCLA Dr. Eric Esrailian to co-found Together California.

Bale’s vision is leaping from the screen to reality, with 12 homes and a community center set to be completed in April 2025. The actor, known for his roles in “Empire of the Sun” and “The Fighter,” shared, “This village will be the first of many, and Californians, let’s unite to open our eyes to what’s happening right under our noses.
