In 4-quart glass mixing bowl, combine popped popcorn and walnuts. Drizzle melted butter over popcorn and toss well. Combine sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Sprinkle over popcorn mixture. Microwave on HIGH 2 minutes. Remove from microwave. Stir in apple chunks. Spread out on pan lined with paper towels. Cool. Store in tightly-covered container.
* To toast walnuts, spread on cookie sheet and bake at 325F for 15 to 20 minutes.
** Dried tart red cherries or dried cranberries can be substituted for the dried apple chunks.
